Applying to the Amazon Influencer Program

Walk through the application screen by screen and avoid the common rejection triggers.

A submitted, well-optimized application with a storefront ready to launch.
Lesson 1

Before you click apply

You need: an Amazon customer account in good standing, a public social profile that matches the criteria in Module 2, a tax ID (SSN or EIN in the US), and a payout method (direct deposit or Amazon gift card). Have these ready in another tab.

Lesson 2

Step-by-step application walkthrough

1. Go to affiliate-program.amazon.com and click "Sign Up." 2. Choose the Influencer Program path when prompted. 3. Connect the social account with the strongest metrics. 4. Amazon runs an automated review of that account. 5. You'll get an instant decision (approved) or a follow-up email (manual review, usually 5 business days).

Lesson 3

Setting up your storefront on day one

The moment you're approved, claim your storefront vanity URL (amazon.com/shop/yourname). Add a header image, a short bio, and create your first three idea lists organized by theme ("Kitchen must-haves under $30", "My camera setup", etc.). A populated storefront on day one signals seriousness to Amazon.

Lesson 4

If you're rejected

Rejections are almost always due to insufficient engagement or a niche mismatch. You can re-apply after growing the profile — there is no formal cooldown, but wait at least 60 days and post consistently in between. Re-apply with the same social account once it clearly meets the bar.
