Building a Qualifying Social Media Profile

The specific profile signals Amazon looks for when they review your application.

Have a public social profile that clearly demonstrates engaged reach.
Lesson 1

Which platforms qualify

Amazon accepts applications from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. TikTok and YouTube are currently the easiest to get approved on because Amazon can see clear engagement metrics. Pick the single platform where you already post most naturally — you only need one to be approved.

Lesson 2

The unofficial follower and engagement bar

Amazon does not publish a follower minimum, but approvals cluster around these signals: at least a few thousand followers, recent posts within the last 30 days, and consistent engagement (likes, comments, views) on those posts. Engagement rate matters more than raw follower count.

Lesson 3

Profile setup checklist

Set the account to public. Use a clear headshot or logo. Write a bio that names your niche ("Kitchen gadget reviews", "Budget tech finds", "Home organization"). Add a link in bio. Pin two or three of your best-performing posts to the top of your profile.

Lesson 4

Pick a niche before you apply

Amazon reviewers approve creators whose content clearly signals a shopping-adjacent niche. Broad lifestyle accounts get rejected more often than accounts with a visible focus. Choose one category: home, beauty, tech, kitchen, fitness, pets, or parenting are all strong.

Lesson 5

Fixing a weak profile fast

If your profile is thin, spend two to three weeks posting five to ten pieces of niche-relevant content before you apply. Short-form video (15–45 seconds) featuring products in your niche is the fastest way to demonstrate the exact behavior Amazon wants to see.
